Event Overview

The Patapsco Valley 50K is a trail running event scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, with a weather backup date of Sunday, October 25, 2026. The race headquarters are at CCBC Catonsville in Maryland. This is the 13th annual edition of the 50K race and the 5th annual edition of the 25K.

Course and Format

The event takes place on trails within or near the scenic and historic Patapsco Valley State Park. The course is described as well-marked. For the 2026 edition, runners will complete the looped course in a clockwise direction. There are five aid stations along the course.

Participant Experience

All in-person participants receive a Brooks event shirt and an additional race premium item (such as a knit hat, socks, gloves, or a buff). Post-race food and drink are provided. 50K finishers receive a unique, hand-thrown ceramic mug. 25K finishers receive a finisher's medal.

A virtual option is available for both distances. Virtual runners have from October 24 to November 24, 2026, to complete their chosen distance on a course of their choosing. A 5k cross country run and 1 mile fun run through Ruppert Nurseries' 500 acre tree farm in Gaithersburg on March 22, 2026. Proceeds support the Montgomery County Children’s Opportunity Alliance.

Join The Husky Run 5K on the scenic Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air. This walk and run event is open to all ages and abilities. Every finisher earns a limited-edition Husky medal.

On March 29, 2026 in Severna Park, MD runners can choose a Marathon or Half Marathon mostly on the asphalt B&A Trail. USATF certified courses, staffed aid stations, finish medals, and participant quarter zips are provided.

Run 7 miles of scenic trails at Cromwell Valley Park. Enjoy rolling hills, single-track paths, and a fast downhill finish. Proceeds support the park and therapeutic programs for veterans.
