Patapsco Valley 50K

The Patapsco Valley 50K takes place October 24, 2026 in Baltimore, Maryland, with race headquarters at CCBC Catonsville (800 S. Rolling Rd., Catonsville). This edition is the 13th running of the 50k and the 5th running of the 25k.

All entrants, including virtual participants, receive a Brooks event shirt and an additional PV50K/25K logo premium item. Finishers awards differ by distance: 50k finishers receive a hand-thrown mug and 25k finishers receive a finishers medal. The on-course layout is a scenic, historic, well-marked trail route through Patapsco Valley State Park, with five aid stations staffed by volunteers. Runners will follow a clockwise direction on the course in 2026. The start and finish area is on the multi-use fields near the back of the CCBC Catonsville campus; participants are asked to park in Lot 6.

Virtual runners may complete their race between October 24 and November 24, 2026, submit results via the UltraSignup website, and receive shirts and finishers awards by mail at no additional cost. Registration closes October 22 at 11:59 PM ET. Patapsco Valley State Park has final authority over the permit; a weather backup date is Sunday, October 25, 2026. Refunds requested before September 24, 2026 are subject to a $30 fee; no refunds will be issued on or after September 24. UltraSignup fees and other charges are non-refundable. A summer cross-country series with four races, three confirmed at local high schools. Online pre-registration is free and a $5 cash fee is collected on race day.

A themed Forrest Gump fun run at Lakeside Loop in New Town Village, Owings Mills, offering a full 4.4-mile loop or a 1-mile out-and-back option. The event is free and participants are encouraged to wear the red hat, yellow top and red short..

A trail race at Gunpowder State Park listed as 7 miles with a route that crosses county lines, features rolling hills, water crossings and occasional mud. Registration is free and donations are accepted on race day.

A 6 hour endurance run at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis with solo and three person relay options, run on a roughly 4.25 mile shaded loop. The event donates a portion of fees to the Semper Fi Fund.
