Patapsco Valley 50K

The Patapsco Valley event offers trail races held at Patapsco Valley State Park with race headquarters at CCBC Catonsville in Catonsville, Maryland. The event in 2026 is the 13th running of the Patapsco Valley 50k and the 5th running of the Patapsco Valley 25k. The course is a scenic, historic, well marked trail run and the 2026 in person course will be run clockwise.

All registered participants, including virtual runners, receive a Brooks event shirt, an additional PV50K/25K logo premium item, post race food and drink, and a finishers award. 50k finishers receive a hand thrown mug and 25k finishers receive a finishers medal. Five aid stations are provided along the course and staffed by volunteers.

Virtual runners may complete their distance between October 24 and November 24, 2026 on a course of their choosing and will have race shirts, awards, and swag mailed at no extra cost. Patapsco Valley State Park maintains authority over the event permit and may postpone or cancel the in person event; the weather backup date is October 25, 2026. Deferrals are not offered. Refunds requested before September 24, 2026 are subject to a thirty dollar administrative deduction. Fees and taxes are non refundable. Trail runs nearby

A 5k and 1 mile trail event at Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue in Mt. Airy, MD on May 30, 2026. The route crosses a 340 acre farm with draft horses nearby and features food trucks and mounted archery demonstrations.

A themed Forrest Gump fun run at Lakeside Loop in New Town Village, Owings Mills, offering a full 4.4-mile loop or a 1-mile out-and-back option. The event is free and participants are encouraged to wear the red hat, yellow top and red short..

A summer trail race at Gunpowder State Park that crosses county lines and includes water crossings, rolling hills and mixed terrain. Entry is free with donations accepted and the field is limited to 100 runners.

A timed six-hour endurance event at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis with solo and three-person relay formats. The course is about 4.25 miles per loop, with aid stations on the route and awards by overall and age-group distance.
