The Patapsco Valley 50K takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Patapsco Valley State Park near Baltimore, MD. This is the 13th running of the 50k and the 5th running of the 25k. The in-person start and finish are at CCBC Catonsville, with the fields near the tennis courts serving as the start/finish area and parking suggested in Lot 6. The trail course is described as scenic, historic, and well marked. Runners will follow the course clockwise in 2026.

All participants, including virtual runners, receive a Brooks event shirt, one additional PV50K/25K premium item, post-race food and drink, and a finishers award (50k finishers receive a hand-thrown mug; 25k finishers receive a finisher medal). The race provides five staffed aid stations and mailings of shirts and awards for virtual finishers at no additional cost.

Entry, policies and contingency

Registration closes on October 22, 2026. Refunds requested before September 24, 2026 receive the registration fee minus $30; no refunds are issued for requests on or after September 24, 2026. UltraSignup fees, taxes, and other charges are non-refundable. The park has authority to postpone or cancel the in-person event; the backup date is Sunday, October 25, 2026. Tackle a scenic 50K trail ultramarathon at Rockburn Branch Park on six wooded loops of about 5.2 miles each. Race solo or as a team of 2 to 6 with stocked aid stations and a friendly festival atmosphere.

Join the Little Patuxent River Half Marathon, 10K and 5K in Columbia MD on Jan 31 to Feb 1, 2026 along gentle trail sections by the Patuxent. This edition is sold out, but finishers get shirts, medals and knit gloves.
