Rick O'Donnell Memorial 5 Mile Trail Run and Ultra Challenge

The Rick O'Donnell Memorial 5 Mile Trail Run and Ultra Challenge takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Milkhouse Brewery at Stillpoint Farm in Mount Airy, Maryland. The event is presented by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club as part of its community race series.

The event honors the memory of Frederick Steeplechasers members and highlights traits valued by the club such as character, perseverance, kindness, and a shared love of running. Net proceeds benefit the Frederick Steeplechasers Memorial Scholarship Fund. In 2024 the race contributed over $5,000 to the scholarship fund. The club has awarded more than $75,500 to 49 scholarship recipients since 2016 and reports fundraising for local causes through its signature races.
