Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition

This Autumn edition is a guided half marathon trail event based in the Chiltern Hills, scheduled for 10 October 2026. The route covers approximately 13 miles / 21.1 km with an overall ascent of around 300 m and runs over half a day. A refreshment point is provided just over halfway and a finisher’s medal and Trees not Tees certificate are included.

Runs are led by local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders who offer trail technique instruction during the event. Participants are grouped by ability; the organisers walk any steep sections and provide pacing groups so runners stay together. The event notes that participants should be able to run 10 km on the road in 90 minutes or less.

On-site facilities reported for these events include a cafe, toilets and bag drop, plus parking. Rail access is described as a short walk from the start. Dogs are allowed only with cani-cross equipment. There are limited spaces and a listed ticket price for the Autumn edition. The Autumn route is presented as a different course from the Spring edition so each edition follows its own variant of the Chilterns trails.

The organiser also lists a mandatory kit requirement and states that personal travel and personal insurance are not included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
