Goring Gap Trails Festival

Goring Gap Trails Festival takes place at Mapledurham House just outside Reading on 22 and 23 May 2027. The festival comprises multiple trail running and walking events with separate routes for each event. Routes run along the River Thames and through villages in the Chiltern Hills and are predominantly flat, waymarked and marshalled in trickier sections; no navigation skills are required.

Support is provided at village hall stations offering toilets, rest stops, drinks and nutritional products. All events include online tracking and published results. The event village at Mapledurham House provides free parking, a registration tent, a catering area and a bar.

Overnight camping is available on the nights before and during the festival; camper vans are welcome and hot showers and toilets are provided.

  • 50 Mile Ultra with 9 support stations, 15 hour cut-off, marked route
  • 52K Ultra with 6 support stations, 9 hour cut-off, marked route
  • Half Marathon with 2 support stations, marked route, tracking
  • Marathon and Half Marathon walks with support stations, waymarked route, tracking

Looped trail event from Guildford across the North Downs offering 50 km, 25 km and 10 km routes with staffed rest stops, GPS tracking and walker and runner categories.

A 49 mile point to point Thames Path ultra from Oxford to Henley with three checkpoints, mandatory navigation kit and a bespoke finisher medal plus kit options.

A timed Friday run on a 5.3 km out and back towpath loop along the River Thames. The event is promoted as a ten pound charity entry for Rays of Sunshine and includes a double sided finisher medal.

A 47 mile point to point ultramarathon along the Thames from Henley to Kingston, with three checkpoints offering food and drink, mandatory navigation kit and a required average pace to remain in the race.
