Run Ragged Last One Standing

Event format

The event is a last-person-standing race held on Ragged Mountain near Berlin, CT. Runners must complete a single loop of about 3.11 miles. Each loop is timed with one hour allowed to finish the loop; loops repeat hourly until only one runner completes a loop within the allowed time. No late starts are allowed for any loop; runners must be in line to start each loop. Only the final runner who completes a loop within the hour is declared the winner.

Logistics and rules

Registration opens January 12, 2026. Entry fees are listed as $50 and $40 for CT Trailmixer members. The field is limited to 55 runners. Race day registration will not be available. No bib transfers and no refunds. Trailhead parking is at 437 West Lane, Berlin, CT 06037.

Regular aid station fare will be provided. Each runner has space for one chair and a small cooler at the start/finish area; runners with specific dietary needs should plan to supply their own food. Pacers are not allowed. Required gear includes a headlamp with backup batteries for night hours; a rear-facing light, emergency blanket, and whistle are optional. Race proceeds support local organizations, including the Connecticut Forest & Parks Association and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship Program. A runner manual is provided by the organizers.
