Run Like a Girl

Run Like a Girl is a community fundraiser set for Saturday, May 16, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and uses nearby trails and parkland in Bellingham. All races start and finish in Fairhaven Park.

The course settings are described as follows: the half marathon and the 10K follow the Interurban Trail with bay views, and the shorter 3K and 6K take place on trails in the 100 Acre Woods. Packet pick-up and a Friday night Shindig are scheduled for May 15, with time and location to be announced.

Event proceeds support Girls on the Run in the region. Girls on the Run provides programs for preadolescent girls that focus on building confidence and life skills. The event is the signature fundraiser for Girls on the Run scholarships; in 2025 the event raised $17,000 for scholarships.

Additional event elements include a raffle draw and an opportunity for out-of-town participants to make a weekend of local lodging and activities. A local hotel offered a special participant rate that expires on May 1, 2026. Event sponsors and community partners are listed by the organizer.
