FORGE

FORGE is a backyard ultra event scheduled for June 6, 2026, in Skagit County, WA, on trails and dirt roads south of Swinomish Casino. The format uses repeated hourly loops: each loop is 4.167 miles, and completing all 12 loops equals 50 miles.

The race follows a strict hourly format. A new loop begins on the hour; runners who finish a loop before the hour may rest until the next start. Runners must be present at the start of each new loop. Failure to complete a loop within the allotted hour or missing the start of the next loop leads to elimination. The twelfth loop decides the final standings among remaining competitors.

Chip timing is used for results. Awards are provided for top male and female finishers, including a trophy and a $500 prize for the lowest cumulative time and a trophy plus free registration for the final loop winner. Participant items listed include a FORGE running hat, a FORGE hoodie, a custom finisher medal, day of race food and snacks, and Tailwind Nutrition endurance fuel.

Registration opens December 1, 2025 and closes March 31, 2026. The registration fee is $149. Space is limited. The event emphasizes endurance and pacing within the strict loop and time limit structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
