2026 Run for Water Trail Race

The Run for Water Trail Race takes place Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Sumas Mountain, with the venue listed as 37799 Taggart Rd, Abbotsford BC. The course runs on rugged, technical single-track trails with roots, rocks, mud and sections of BC rain forest.

Distances offered

  • 10K: 500 metres elevation gain on technical single-track.
  • 25K: nearly 1,500 metres elevation gain, includes two highest peaks.
  • 50K: nearly 3,000 metres elevation gain, the 25K route run twice.

The route includes viewpoints over the Fraser River and Fraser Valley. The organizer notes the route is subject to change. Full payment is due at registration and race entry fees are non-refundable. Donations or fundraising above the entry fee are tax deductible.

Participants may switch to a shorter distance after registration at no cost, subject to availability, by notifying the organizers at least one week before race day. Deferral to the following year and bib transfers are not offered.
