Run for the Range Half Marathon

Run for the Range: Trail Run : Fall Creek Ranch, Granbury TX (Jan 30, 2027)

Run for the Range is a trail-running event held on private Fall Creek Ranch that benefits the Texas Agricultural Land Trust. The event includes on-site races and a virtual "Couch Conservationist" option that supports conservation of working lands, wildlife habitat, water resources, and open spaces.

The course uses dirt roads and single-track trails across native grasslands, woodlands, pastures, and creek corridors. Runners should expect rolling hills, creek crossings, scenic overlooks, approximately 220 feet of elevation change, and uneven natural trail conditions; trail shoes are strongly recommended. Bulk water and refill stations will be available and participants are encouraged to bring reusable bottles or hydration systems.

All finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers in each race, with named age-group categories from Under 18 through 60+. The virtual Couch Conservationist registrants receive an event t-shirt but are not assigned a race bib and are not eligible for awards; shirt pickup is available in Granbury on race day and registrants must sign up by January 2, 2027 to receive a shirt.

Additional details from the event: team discounts for five-or-more runners, onsite parking, no pets allowed, shirts guaranteed only for registrations made by the event deadline, and proceeds benefit TALT.
