Run for the Hill of It / Run for the Hill-O-Ween takes place on October 18, 2025, at the Baird Creek Greenway area, 500 Beverly Road, Green Bay, WI. The main event is a 5K (3.1 miles) trail run that includes a notable climb called Triangle Hill. The event includes multiple options:

  • 5K (3.1 miles) trail run
  • Little Hill Racers kids run (youth 10 and under)
  • 3.1 mile Fur the Hill of It dog walk
  • Virtual Run option (complete the course between Oct 5 and Oct 13)

The 5K course goes through the Greenway and supports walking, running, or biking on the route. The event is held rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the Baird Creek Greenway.

Registration, logistics, and extras

Packet pickup and in-person registration are available the day before (Friday evening) and the morning of the event at the Triangle Hill Chalet. Registration fees vary by event and by date; the Virtual Run fee is listed as $20, the 5K ranges from $35 to $40 with a shirt, Fur the Hill of It ranges from $25 to $30 with a shirt, and the Little Hill Racers run is free. Participants in the 5K receive a dri-fit long sleeve t-shirt; Festival Foods provides a snack and drink at race completion. Little Hill Racers receive a free t-shirt, snack, and small prize. Dog-walk finishers receive a treat and a tennis ball. Awards include age-group prizes and King & Queen of the Hill recognition. Participate in a two mile run or walk through the scenic 120 acre Southern Door School campus. Enjoy a course of gravel and woodland trails while supporting local students and staff in Brussels Wisconsin.

Experience the diverse landscapes of Shiocton at the Navarino Nature Center Trail Run. Run or walk through forests and across bog boardwalks to support environmental education and local trail improvements.

Take on the Cliff Runner 10K on July 19, 2026 at High Cliff State Park, a rugged singletrack course with rocks, roots and steep climbs. Registration includes a Cliff Runner tee and finisher medal, with proceeds to Purdy Nature Preserve.

Trail marathon and half marathon at High Cliff State Park featuring technical singletrack, prairie sections and Lake Winnebago views. The event is cupless with aid stations and proceeds supporting the park.
