Twisted Roots is a trail running event organized by TYDISH Running at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood, WI on September 20, 2026. The event offers both a full marathon and a half marathon over natural trail terrain with views of Lake Winnebago, prairie sections, and the Niagara Escarpment, including the historical Lime Kiln Ruins.

The course includes technical singletrack and wider rolling prairie sections. Some trail segments are shared with mountain bikers and horse riders, and participants should follow standard trail etiquette. A postrace pasta buffet will be available after each race.

Cutoff times are 8 hours for the full marathon and 5 hours for the half marathon. Registration includes an option to donate to the Friends of High Cliff State Park and a portion of event profits will support that group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
