Event Overview
The Run for the Green Trail Run is a trail running and walking event that takes place on a Saturday in March. It is the first event in the Dirt Days Trail Series, a series of eight trail events in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Location & Course
The event is held at Landen-Deerfield Park in Maineville, Ohio. The course is approximately 3.5 miles long, though the exact distance may vary. It runs on mostly densely wooded, winding dirt and mud trails within the park. The route includes elevation changes of up to 50 feet and features two creek crossings that are calf-deep. The terrain is described as a mix of flat areas, wooded trails, hills, and creek crossings.

There is also a volunteer option. Registration is $23.50 per person, with a $5 discount for participants aged 14 and under. Registration is online only, and participants can register up until the event day. A long-sleeve event t-shirt is available for $15 with pre-registration.
Event Features
The event is hosted by Deerfield Township and is a USATF-sanctioned event. It uses chip timing with disposable chips on the bibs. There will be overall and age-group awards, as well as a random drawing for door prizes. Post-race treats and refreshments are provided. Parking at the venue is free and ample.
