The Run for the Green Trail Run takes place on March 14, 2026, in Maineville, OH at Landen-Deerfield Park. The event includes a run, a walk and volunteer opportunities. The race is hosted by Deerfield Township and is the first event in the 2026 Dirt Days Trail Series. Entry fee is $23.50 with a $5 discount for children 14 and under. Long-sleeve event T-shirts are available for $15 with pre-registration. Disposable chip timing on bibs will be used. No dogs are allowed and refunds are not offered.
Course, divisions and logistics
The course is advertised as about 3.5 miles of mostly densely wooded, winding dirt and mud trails with elevation changes up to 50 feet and two calf-deep creek crossings; mileage may vary. Ample free parking is available at the park. Run divisions are separated by standard age groups for men and women, and walk divisions use broader age bands. Overall male and female winners and age-group awards will be presented; there is also a random door-prize drawing for those present. The event is part of an eight-date, ten-event trail series that features trail runs ranging from about 3 to 11 miles, including a night trail run.
