Camp Hook 4 Hour Trail Runs

Camp Hook 4 Hour Trail Runs is a weekend trail event held at Camp Hook in Twin Creek MetroPark, Franklin, Ohio. The event includes two formats: a 4 hour Solo race and a 4 hour Team Relay for two or three person teams. Both formats use a roughly 1.85 mile loop that follows the purple trail and single track around Lake George.

The course surface is approximately 95% trails with roots and 5% grass. Elevation is described as moderate and there is one dry creek bed crossing depending on weather. Races run on a four hour running clock. Pacers are not allowed due to park occupancy limitations.

Field sizes are limited for safety and occupancy: the Solo race is capped at 60 runners and the Relay event is capped at 90 runners. Entry fee is listed as $25 per participant for each race. There is one aid station at the start and finish area providing snacks, water, and drinks for participants and volunteers.

The start and finish area is located in the Parade Field meadow. Teams may use a small canopy and bring chairs to create a camp area. Primitive camping is available in three named campsites reserved for Saturday April 12. Restroom access includes one permanent outhouse in the parking lot and three additional outhouses in adjacent campsites.

Awards include finisher awards for all participants, top placings for Solo and Relay categories, and several fun team awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
