RUN FOR RECOVERY 12K is a trail race held at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area in Parkland County. The event offers a 12K trail run, plus 6K and 3K trail distances and a 1.2K kids’ fun run. The 12K course blends 50% technical single-track with 50% rolling Nordic-style trails and about 350 meters of elevation gain.

It’s an organized, timed, family-friendly event welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities, with aid stations on course. Finishers receive a medal, and funds raised support Our House Addiction Recovery Centre and McDougall House, with all donations going to the charities.
