5 Peaks Chickakoo - Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area

The event takes place at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area in Parkland County, about 30 minutes west of Edmonton. The site covers 480 acres of woods and lakes and attracts a variety of birds and wildlife such as moose, deer, and beavers.

The race route features grinding hill climbs, technical singletrack, steep downhills, and fast hard pack sections. The start and finish are located at the main parking lot; runners quickly enter the park singletrack and near the end reach a ridge with views before descending back to the start area.
