Event overview
The fourth race in the Northern Alberta 5 Peaks series is held at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area in Parkland County, approximately 30 minutes west of Edmonton. The site covers 480 acres of woods and lakes and attracts a variety of birds and wildlife such as moose, deer and beavers.
The route uses singletrack and mixed trail surfaces and features sustained hill climbs, steep downhills and fast hard pack sections. The start and finish are at the main parking lot; the course quickly moves into the park and returns via a ridge with views before the final descent.

Notable logistical details: washrooms are available at the start and finish area; parking is limited and may require parking in the equestrian lot with a walk to the start. The event is cup free; water and an electrolyte drink are provided at the start, the finish and at one or more aid stations. The race prohibits dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers and nordic walking poles. All Sport and Enduro finishers receive a finisher swag item; finisher medals can be purchased in advance or on site while supplies last. Awards are presented on site and are not mailed.
