Run First Wine Later 3k & 5k : Creek’s Edge Winery

This event offers two measured distances around Creek’s Edge Winery: a cross country style course laid out as a 1 km loop around the property with a small hill on each lap. The 3k consists of three laps and the 5k consists of five laps.

Distances:

• 3k (three 1 km laps)
• 5k (five 1 km laps)

Participants receive a glass of wine from Creek’s Edge Winery, a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt, and chip timing. Walkers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Water and aid: the 5k course has four water stations at approximately mile markers 0.6, 1.2, 1.8, and 2.5; the 3k course has two stations at approximately 0.6 and 1.2 miles. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the winery.

Series and charity: points from both distances count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series as well as the Sippin’ Series and 5k Series standings. The event supports The Cats at Longstreet, an organization that provides care for seriously injured or ill cats.

Logistics: packet pickup is available at the event and there is race day registration. T-shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before Feb 25; sizes for later registrants are first-come first-served. Registration fees vary by distance and date; prices increase on race morning. Parking is on-site at Creek’s Edge Winery (41255 Annas Ln, Lovettsville, VA). Live results are posted online and via an on-site QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
