2026 Run First Wine Later 3k & 5k
The event takes place on March 7, 2026 at Creek’s Edge Winery in Lovettsville, VA. It features two race distances that count toward several series standings: Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series, plus the Sippin’ Series and 5k Series standings. Walkers are welcome and a virtual race option is available.

Course and services
Both races use a 1 km loop around the winery property. The 3k is three laps and the 5k is five laps; each lap includes a small hill behind the winery. Water stations are placed along the courses: two stations on the 3k and four on the 5k, with Gatorade at some stations. Restrooms are available inside the winery. Registration, results and awards
Runners receive a glass of wine from Creek’s Edge Winery, a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Entry fees are listed as: 3k $30 (rising to $35 after Feb 28) and 5k $35 (rising to $40 after Feb 28); prices increase by $5 on race morning. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before Feb 25. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Live results will be posted online and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Awards go to the top 3 men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd place in standard age categories from 19 & under through 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
