Event Details

The Barrel Oak 6k is a timed running event held at Barrel Oak Winery in Delaplane, Virginia. Participants can also choose a 3k distance. Both races start together.

The Course

The course is a cross-country route around the vineyard grounds. It includes sections of gravel and dirt roads and features hills. The 6k distance consists of two laps of the 3k route.

Registration & Fees

Registration is available online or on race day. The entry fee for the 6k is $40 until March 31, increasing to $45 thereafter. Race-day registration adds an additional $5 fee. A technical event shirt is guaranteed for registrations before April 8.

Runner Perks

All registered runners receive a chip-timed race, a technical event shirt, a finisher's medal, and a glass of wine from Barrel Oak Winery. A virtual run option is available for those unable to attend on race day.

Awards & Results

Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, as well as first and second place in standard five-year age groups from 19 & under to 70+. Live race results are posted online during the event, with final results available the following Monday.

Event Policies

Walkers and leashed pets are welcome. The event proceeds benefit the Semper Fi and America's Fund. Race performance contributes points to the organizer's Year-Long 5k/10k, Back of the Pack, and Sippin’ Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
