Run Across Georgia 2026

Run Across Georgia is a long distance run and ride event held in May 2026. The full route covers 277.2 miles, beginning on Tybee Island and finishing in Columbus, Georgia. The course travels through the plains of middle Georgia on quiet back roads with a gentle uphill trend.

The event includes both running and riding options. The run can be completed individually or by teams of up to 12 runners. The ride can be completed solo or by teams of up to 4 riders.

Run Across Georgia operates as a fundraiser. Participants have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local causes. Listed beneficiaries include House of Heroes, CVCl, and MercyMed of Columbus. Organizers request that each participant raise at least $500. One hundred percent of fundraising proceeds are directed to MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes National.

All finishers receive finisher awards. Additional awards are given for most funds raised by team and individual, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle. More award categories may be added as the event approaches. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
