Classes, format and rules

Competitive classes use the Standard distance and include rig (4-dog), 1-dog and 2-dog scooter, 1-dog and 2-dog bike, and canicross. Developmental (non-competitive) classes use the Sprint distance and run Friday and Saturday only; a developmental 4-dog rig is offered Friday as a one-day option. One-day entries are available for developmental classes. Classes on Saturday and Sunday use combined times for placement where noted; athletes run in the order of previous finishes when applicable. A short mid-competition break is planned.

Helmets are mandatory in all classes except canicross. Junior athletes (under 16) are welcome but must check in and will run after their class unless noted. Dogs must be restrained on the property - leash, tether, crate, pen or harness - and no loose dogs are allowed. Dry camping is available (no hookups) for Friday and Saturday; a fee applies. AAHDS members receive a 10% entry discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
