5 Peaks Trail Running - Sikome Lake

This event is part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in Central Alberta and takes place at Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Provincial Park, south Calgary. The park includes paved trails, hard-packed routes, single track sections and an outdoor lake.

  • Kids - 3 km (timed)
  • Sport - 6.5 km (run or hike)
  • Enduro - 11.6 km (run or hike)

Due to park maintenance, alternate routes will be used for the 2026 event; race distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions. Route maps, elevation profiles and aid station locations are provided for each course.

Event details: this is a cup-free event. Water and electrolyte drinks are available at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for fluids and nutrition. Swag and finisher medals are not included with registration, can be purchased separately, and must be picked up at the event.

Facilities and rules: washrooms are available at the start/finish area and there is plentiful parking. Spectators are welcome. For safety, dogs, headphones and strollers are not allowed on the course; hiking poles are only permitted in non-competitive hiking categories. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender in each age and distance category and to the top three overall male and female finishers. A fitness adventure at North Glenmore Park that places adults, kids and k9s on a military style obstacle course. The event focuses on varied terrain and unrevealed obstacles and lasts about two hours.

Mega Bounce Calgary is an all-inflatable 5k obstacle course on June 20, 2026 at North Glenmore Park in Calgary. Participants receive a headband or buff and a finisher's medal; youth 13 and under must be accompanied and be at least 42 inches..

A Kananaskis trail event featuring a 42.2 km mountain marathon and a half marathon option on singletrack. Aid stations, mandatory safety gear and finisher medals with podium prizes for each distance.

Backyard Ultra in Okotoks on June 27, 2026 features a 6.71 km loop along the Sheep River with Last Person Standing plus timed 15 hour and 24 hour events. Timed slots are limited.
