About the race
The Sikome Lake event at Fish Creek Provincial Park in south Calgary is a trail running meeting scheduled for May 8. The park features paved, hard packed, and single track trails and an outdoor lake. Distances offered: - Kids 1 km - Kids 3 km - Sport 6.5 km run or hike - Enduro 11.6 km run or hike Packet pick up is available the day before and the morning of the race. For the 2026 event, alternate routes will be used because of park maintenance; maps and aid station locations are provided for each route and distances or routes may change up to the day of the race. The event is cup free.
Water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start and finish area and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants expected to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for liquids and nutrition. Safety rules prohibit dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers on the course. Hiking poles are allowed only in non-competitive hiking categories.
Washrooms are available at the start and finish area and there is plenty of parking at Sikome Lake. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender in each age category and distance, plus the top three overall male and female finishers. Optional merch and medals can be purchased before or during the event while supplies last. Swag and finisher medals must be picked up at the event.
