River's Edge Endurance Challenge

The River's Edge Endurance Challenge is the 8th annual in-person event held on September 26, 2026 in Brunswick, Maryland. The event takes place on the lower practice fields between Brunswick High School and Brunswick Middle School and uses the River's Edge Trail system for most running.

Distances and formats include:

• 5K (3.1 miles) mostly on River's Edge Trail.
• 3 Hour Endurance Race laps of a 5 mile loop.
• 6 Hour Endurance Challenge laps of a 5 mile loop.

Course notes: the 3-hour and 6-hour events include about one mile on Brunswick High School property with the remainder on the River's Edge Trail system. The 5K course is primarily on the trails with a short start and finish on school property. Both the 5K and the 5 mile loop are marked.

Fees and registration: listed entry fees are $35 for the 5K, $50 for the 3-hour event, and $60 for the 6-hour event. Registration opens January 16, 2026 and closes September 24, 2026. Prices increase after September 24, 2026. To be assured of a T-shirt, registration should be completed before September 3, 2026. Medals must be ordered ahead of time; registrations after August 15, 2026 may not include a medal due to limited supplies.

Organization and proceeds: the event is presented by the Brunswick High School Athletics Boosters, a nonprofit 501(c)(3). One hundred percent of fees are used to purchase shirts, medals, race support items, and to fund equipment for the Brunswick High School Track and Field program. There are no refunds.
