The Rise and Rebuild 5K Run / Walk takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Lynchburg, Virginia. The event is organized to raise funds to rebuild the Free Clinic of Central Virginia's Main Street location after smoke damage to the clinic building. The course starts and finishes on the Linkhorne Middle School track at 2525 Linkhorne Drive and follows an out-and-back route using the Langhorne Road Bridge Trail extension of the Blackwater Creek Bikeway. Surfaces are paved. Timing is provided by Riverside Runners. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top master (40+) male and female, and top three male and female in age groups from 12 & under through 70 and over.

Registration and policies
The 5K has an entry cap of 375 participants. Early pricing and late pricing tiers apply; fees increase after February 28, 2026. Youth registration is priced separately and does not include a shirt unless purchased. The race offers a $5 discount for current Lynchburg Road Runners Club members during the specified discount period. Assisted athlete teams may register with a reduced rate where both the assisted athlete and the pusher each pay half price and receive an advance start for safety. Strollers are prohibited on the bikeway and participants are asked not to bring pets. If the event is canceled for weather, entrants will be offered a virtual 5K option.
