The Blossom to Bottle 5K Run & 3K Walk is held on April 11, 2026, in Bedford, Virginia. The event features two distances: a 5K run and a 3K walk. Both events start together.

Registration and Fees

Registration opens on February 2nd. Entry fees are tiered:

  • For the 5K: $25 from February 2nd to March 8th, $30 from March 9th to April 11th, and $35 on race day.
  • For the 3K: $20 from February 2nd to March 8th, $25 from March 9th to April 11th, and $30 on race day. A family discount of $2 per entry is available for families of four or more who register together. The last day to guarantee an event T-shirt is March 20, 2026.

Logistics

Packet pickup for pre-registered participants is available at the Bedford YMCA on April 10th from noon to 6:00 PM. On race day, packet pickup is at Johnson’s Orchard from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM.

Course and Amenities

The 5K course is chip-timed by Riverside Runners. It is described as a scenic, rolling off-road route through apple fields, featuring a short gravel road, bridges over small streams, and mountain views. Post-race amenities include free wine samples, a campfire, s'mores, and mini charcuterie boxes.

Awards

Awards are given for the 5K only. Overall awards are presented to the first-place male and female finishers. Age group medals are awarded to the top three males and females in each division, ranging from 12 & under to 70 & up. There are no awards for the 3K walk.
