Course Overview

The Rim Rock 50 Mile Trail Challenge takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, California. The course is approximately 52 miles total, consisting of two loops of about 26 miles each. The route goes through Skyline Wilderness Park, the Napa Open Space Preserve, and the Suscol Headwaters Trail system. Solo runners complete both loops, while relay teams of two each complete one loop. The total course time limit is 13 hours.

Event Information

The race begins at 6:00 AM. The park gates open at 5:30 AM for event access, with a mandatory race briefing at 5:45 AM. A cup-free policy is in effect, requiring runners to bring their own reusable cup or hydration system. All participants receive a dry-wick t-shirt. Solo and relay finishers receive a trucker hat. Top male and female runners receive a Victory Sportdesign gear bag. Age group awards are offered if total participants exceed 150.

Crew access is permitted only at the Start/Finish area and the Lake Marie Aid Station. Pacers are allowed only for solo runners for the final 25-mile loop. Campsites at Skyline Wilderness Park are available from May 15–17, 2026, for a fee.

The start and finish are at Skyline Wilderness Park (2201 Imola Ave, Napa, CA 94559). The park spans over 850 acres and features over 25 miles of trails.
