The event includes three courses:

  • 50k: A single-loop course using trails such as Star Gap, Bernard Mtn, and Kitsuma. It has an elevation gain and loss of approximately 5700 feet.
  • Half Marathon: A net downhill, point-to-point race starting at the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains and finishing in Old Fort. It loses about 2600 feet over 13 miles, with a gain of around 1200 feet.
  • 10k: A figure-8 loop contained within the Old Fort Gateway Trail System.

Event Information

The event date is June 6, 2026. All races start and finish at Camp Grier (985 Camp Grier Rd, Old Fort, NC). Half marathon runners must use a provided shuttle, which departs at 7:40 AM. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at Hillmen Beer in downtown Old Fort, or on race morning starting at 6:00 AM.

Time limits are 11 hours for the 50k, 4 hours for the half marathon, and 2.5 hours for the 10k. Aid stations are provided on all courses.
