Table Rock Ultras - Morganton, NC

Table Rock Ultras includes two trail races organized by Tanawha Adventures and held in Morganton, North Carolina. The event offers a 50K and a 30K course that travel on single track, double track, and gravel surfaces. The 50K reaches the summit of Table Rock Mountain and returns along the same general corridor, while the 30K follows the same outbound route as the 50K before turning around after the second aid station.

The 50K lists approximately 5,700 ft of vertical climb and about 11,000 ft of total vertical change, composed of roughly 12 miles of single track, 9 miles of double track, and 10 miles of gravel. The 30K lists about 4,000 ft of vertical climb and about 8,000 ft of total vertical change, with roughly 8 miles of single track, 9 miles of double track, and 3 miles of gravel. The course includes creek crossings and technical stretches and is permitted through the U.S. Forest Service.

Aid stations will provide water, Gatorade, soft drinks and assorted snacks such as potato chips, pretzels, animal cookies, M&Ms, gummi bears, trail mix, and PB&J. Participants are asked to bring a water bottle because cups will not be available at aid stations. The race starts and finishes at Steele Creek Park and Family Campground, where primitive camping is reserved for the event. The registration deadline is listed as September 17, 2026.
