Table Rock Ultras

Table Rock Ultras is a trail running event organized by Tanawha Adventures in Morganton, North Carolina. Races are restricted to participants age 18 and over and the event is permitted through the US Forest Service. The start and finish are at Steele Creek Park and Family Campground.

The event features the following distances:

• 50K: summit route; ~5,700 ft climb; 12 mi single-track, 9 mi double-track, 10 mi gravel
• 30K: follows outbound 50K; ~4,000 ft climb; 8 single-track, 9 double-track, 3 gravel miles

Aid stations will offer water, Gatorade, assorted soft drinks, and a selection of snacks such as chips, pretzels, cookies, trail mix, and PB&J. Organizers will not provide cups for water or Gatorade, so participants are asked to bring a water bottle or hydration bladder. Aid station placement includes at least three locations on each course and one drop bag location for the 50K.

Registered entrants receive a race T shirt and post race food and craft beer for those 21 and older. 50K finishers receive a hooded sweatshirt and 30K finishers receive a medallion.

Steele Creek Park offers reserved tent and RV sites and a primitive camping area set aside for the race; a discount code is provided for RV hookups. The event maintains a waitlist and does not allow bib transfers. Refunds are available up to 45 days before the event on a sliding scale; specific exceptions apply for military deployment, pregnancy, and immediate family death. If the in person event is canceled, the race will be run virtually on the actual course and no refunds, transfers, or deferrals will be issued in that case.
