Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest
Lake Rhodhiss Trailfest takes place on October 10, 2026 in Valdese, NC at 1149 Lake Rhodhiss Drive. Organized by Friends of the Valdese Rec, the event uses a roughly 3 mile loop that includes about two miles of trail and one mile of crushed cinder greenway.
Participants register for a timed event and aim to cover as many miles as possible within the selected time. The format allows participants to pursue a target distance within an allotted time frame rather than following a fixed race distance. The event also serves as the kickoff for Great State Trail Day the following weekend.
Additional on site arrangements include space at the start and finish for 10 by 10 tents or tables, and food and beverage service during the races. Organizers hope to include live music on the pavilion stage at times during the event.
