Shining Hope Farms Salute Trail Run

Shining Hope Farms Salute Trail Run is scheduled for September 12, 2026 at Shining Hope Farms in Conover, North Carolina. This is the event's sixth annual running and features trail courses across a 120 acre farm north of Charlotte.

Two distances are offered:

  • 5k
  • 10k

Both courses will be chip-timed and there will be an awards ceremony after the race. Registration includes a t-shirt. Participants may walk or run the courses. After the race there will be food, drinks, and music at the venue.

The event raises funds to provide scholarships for the Saddles & Salutes program. The fundraising goal is $40,000 and current fundraising is listed at $0. Participants will have the option to crowd fund and become a sponsor. Individuals who raise $1,000 to fund a scholarship earn a Shining Hope Farms YETI.

Obstacle course races on rolling motocross terrain in Morganton NC, featuring creek and pond crossings, a dirt bike track, and distances from 1 to 6 miles, plus elite, open, and youth Cub Crawl divisions.

Mad Dash at Treetop Adventures on Lake Hickory pairs a 300 m swim, obstacle course and a 5K run with a separate 5K and a kids fun run. Proceeds support Camp David and a local boarding academy.

A mountain loop event in Hiddenite, NC on June 20, 2026 featuring two races over steep rock-face trails with aid stations at base and top and limited entry to the first 175 registrants.

A one mile obstacle mud run with 16 obstacles, giant sprinklers and a lazy river at the Bennick Compound in Morganton, NC. The event focuses on mud and water course features within a short, obstacle centered layout.
