Rider Rattler

Montoursville, United States • 28 Mar 2026

Event Overview

The Rider Rattler is an annual event taking place in late March. It offers two trail running and hiking distances: a 4-mile route and an 8-mile route.

The Courses

Both routes take participants to three scenic vistas using a mix of trails.

  • 4-Mile Course: The total distance is 4.3 miles with 675 feet of elevation gain. The route primarily uses double-track trails with some single-track sections.
  • 8-Mile Course: The total distance is approximately 8.3 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain. This course is an even mix of double and single-track trail and includes some technical sections. For the 2026 edition, the course has been changed to incorporate a newly opened park trail, eliminating a previous "figure-8" section.

Additional Information

The event takes place at Rider Park in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. Rider Park is private land owned and operated by the First Community Foundation Partnership and made available for public use. This event is part of the Rocksylvania Trail Series and both distances qualify for the 2026 series. There are no refunds, deferrals, or bib transfers.
