RHSC's Super Hear-O 5K & Family Fun Run

RHSC's Super Hear-O 5K & Family Fun Run is an annual event held at Seneca Park in Rochester, New York. Taking place in June, the event serves to celebrate and support the Rochester Hearing & Speech Center. The center provides hearing health testing, treatment, and developmental services for individuals of all ages, including early intervention for children.

The event is designed to be inclusive for participants of all ages and abilities. The course utilizes an accessible road loop within the park. Participants are invited to join two main distances:

  • Super Hear-O 5K Road Run/Walk: A road-based course involving three laps of the park loop.
  • Super Hear-O One-Mile Walk/Roll/Stroll: A shorter, single-loop option on a paved path.

Many participants choose to wear superhero costumes for the occasion. In addition to the run and walk events, the venue features a Super Kid Zone with various activities. Ice cream is provided for participants by a local vendor. Registration is available for all age groups, with specific pricing structures for adults and children. Optional race shirts are available for purchase during the registration process. Personal fundraising goals can also be established by participants to support the nonprofit mission of the Rochester Hearing & Speech Center.
