Reggie Oeltjen Douglas Trail 11-Mile Race
Oronoco, United States • 2 Aug 2025
The Reggie Oeltjen Douglas Trail 11-Mile Race is a scenic running event held annually on the Douglas Trail, an asphalt rail-trail stretching from Northwest Rochester to Pine Island, Minnesota. Participants start in Douglas and run an 11-mile out-and-back course shaded by a canopy of trees, offering a fairly flat and straight route with minimal road crossings. Established in 1976 and renamed in 2017 to honor Reggie Oeltjen, a dedicated Rochester Running Club member, the race features race gifts, post-race refreshments, and hydrating watermelon for runners. The event celebrates its 49th anniversary in 2025 and is part of the Rochester Running Club Grand Prix series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
