The Redwood (Spring) Trail Run is a series of trail events held at the Chabot Space and Science Center with courses through Redwood Regional Park. The course follows the East Ridge and West Ridge trails and uses the Stream and Bridle trails through redwood stands. Distances were measured with a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel.

Courses are marked with ribbon approximately every 200 yards and color coded by distance; polka dot flagging marks required turns and blue ribbons mark wrong ways. Aid stations are fully stocked every 5 to 6 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink; participants are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless to reduce waste; participants should bring their own fluid container. Drop bags are allowed at the pass-through aid station for the 30K, marathon, and 50K. Parking at the venue is free. Shirts are provided to pre-registered runners and all finishers receive a custom medal; 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster.
