Course and logistics
The courses run through Victoria’s Alpine National Park and include ridge running, high plains and a route to the summit of Mt Feathertop. Sections of the course are unmarked with limited checkpoints; participants must be able to navigate with map, compass or GPS. For parts of the event there is one aid station at Diamantina Hut. Participants are expected to be self-supporting; water is available from streams, soaks and tanks and is recommended to be treated before drinking.
A pre-event briefing and gear check is mandatory and participants must present required equipment to be allowed to start.
