Razorback Run - The Races

Razorback Run takes place on Saturday 13 March 2027 with the event village at Harrietville Hotel Motel, 169 Great Alpine Rd, Harrietville VIC 3741. The course itinerary includes running to the summit of Mt Feathertop and across the Razorback.

  • 62 km Ultra
  • 37 km The Good Loop
  • 22 km Razorback Ridge

The 62 km Ultra covers about 3420 m of ascent and descent. It is an unmarked, remote course with limited checkpoints; participants must navigate with GPX or maps. There are water points at 10.5 km, basic supplies at the Kiewa River around 19 km, and Diamantina Hut at about 42 km. Cut-offs include a 12-hour restriction to Diamantina Hut and a 17-hour overall cut-off. Minimum age is 18 and organisers may request proof of ability to complete the course.

The 37 km Good Loop has about 2000 m of ascent and descent. This is also an unmarked course requiring GPX navigation. Water is available at 10.5 km and at Diamantina Hut around 22.5 km; the Diamantina Hut has an 8-hour cut-off and the overall cut-off is 11 hours. Minimum age is 18.

The 22 km Razorback Ridge gains about 850 m. The course starts and finishes at the Razorback Track Trailhead near Diamantina Hut. There is a water point at 9.5 km. Minimum age is 16. Some parking is available at the trailhead; additional parking is at Alpine Gateway, about a 1.8 km walk from the start line, where toilets are provided.
