Mystic Hill - Day 4
This is the competitor information for Day 4 of the Bright Alpine Climb at Mystic Hill, starting at Nightingale Bros Alpine Produce in Wandiligong. The route covers 13.5 km with approximately 800 m of vertical climb through alpine terrain.
The event uses a staggered start so participants can select an appropriate start slot that matches their pace; walkers and runners start in separate periods. All participants must check in at the start line and have their race number recorded as they begin.
There is no aid station on course for this day, so competitors should carry their own nutrition and fluids. At the finish, which is at the same location as the start, fruit, water and electrolyte drinks are provided. No shuttle bus is required.
Alpine conditions can change quickly and weather at the base may differ from conditions at the top. Organisers provide an updated list of mandatory gear and recommend carrying appropriate clothing and equipment for alpine weather. A course map and a GPX file are made available for navigation.
Volunteers are required for roles including sweepers, de-marking, aid station staffing on the summit, general marshals and registration support. Sweepers are expected to be fit and ideally have first aid experience; some volunteer roles require access to the summit by vehicle.
