Rathfinny Run : The Tasting Room, Rathfinny Wine Estate

The Rathfinny Run is a trail event at Rathfinny Wine Estate in East Sussex held on 10 May 2026. It offers two distances on an undulating off‑road loop through vineyard terrain and parts of the South Downs National Park. Each loop is approximately 10.7 km with about 220 metres of elevation; half marathon runners complete two laps while 10.7 km entrants complete one lap. Distance markers appear every 2 km and there are sweep marshals and course signage throughout.

The event is organised with an environmental focus. It is described as carbon neutral, will avoid single use plastics, and operates as a cupless event; runners are asked to bring their own hydration. Recycled slate medals are awarded to finishers and organisers will raffle a small number of trainer repair kits. The race also offers around 30 free places to people fundraising for the WOLO Foundation, a local charity supporting families affected by cancer.

Course notes state the surface is mainly grass trail with some hard tracks and wooded sections. The route can be bumpy with cambers, switchbacks and several hills; wetter conditions may make parts muddy. Aid provision includes water and food at the 5 km point and at the start/finish. Marhsals, first aid cover and a kit swap shop will be available on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
