Brighton Backyard Ultra

The Brighton Backyard Ultra is an endurance event held at the Stanmer Park Nature Reserve. The competition follows a specific format where participants must run a distance of four miles every hour on the hour. The process repeats until only one runner remains to complete a final loop alone.

Participants are provided with several amenities to support their effort throughout the event. Entry includes a pitch to set up a personal rest area, and there is a limited rest marquee available for those who do not have their own pitch. The organizers provide both hot and cold water, as well as a selection of drinks and snacks for the runners.

The event includes the following features and items for participants:

  • Four mile loops starting every hour
  • Participant medals
  • Winner trophy and medal
  • Access to photography and videography

The nature reserve setting provides a natural environment for this test of stamina. All participants who complete at least one loop receive a medal, while a specific trophy and medal are reserved for the final remaining runner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
