Rancho Hills Trail Run - Fall

The event takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve in Morgan Hill, CA. Multiple trail distances run through the preserve on single track and dirt roads with significant climbing; overall course ascent varies by distance from about 464 to 6,059 feet.

Two primary aid stations are listed at Rancho Cañada del Oro and Bald Peaks/Needlegrass, with additional water stops at several trail intersections. Drop bags are permitted at the Rancho Cañada del Oro aid station only. Runners are strongly encouraged to carry at least one water bottle, preferably two, or a camelback because parts of the course are exposed and can be hot depending on the season.

The course includes long climbs, exposed sections with creekside shade and oak trees, and three short sections where course ribbons are not provided. Parking is extremely restricted; an overflow lot is provided down Casa Loma Road near the preserve parking area. A wildlife caution notes the presence of rattlesnakes, especially later in the day.
