Race to the Top of Mt. Umunhum

This event on Saturday, March 8, 2025, is a half marathon that starts at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver County Park, 21785 Almaden Rd, San Jose, CA 95120. The course is point to point and finishes near the summit of Mt. Umunhum.

The route climbs approximately 4,767 feet over about 13.35 miles and carries a six hour time limit. Runners will wear black-numbered bibs on a yellow background. Course markings include single solid pink ribbons, orange cones, signs and gypsum, with specific sections noted where ribbons are not placed. There is a 1.8 mile unmarked segment on the Barlow Trail from mile 8.2 to mile 9.9; signs are posted starting three miles from the finish.

Aid and toilet facilities are provided. Toilets are available at the start, at all aid stations and at the finish. Key aid points named in race materials include Woods Parking Lot Aid Station at mile 5.3 and the Mt. Umunhum and Barlow Trail Intersection at mile 9.9.

Online registration is available through the evening before the race, with in person registration also offered. Entry fees are non-refundable; transfers to another future TCTRuns event are possible if arranged at least 24 hours before the race.
