Beat The Sunset 50km

The Beat The Sunset event is a 50 km multi terrain ultramarathon that starts and finishes in Maidenhead at Summerleaze Park / NMCC Sports Club. The course is a single lap that uses the Thames Path, the Jubilee River and the Green Way. The route is fully signed and is mostly off road, with approximately 75% off-road underfoot and a total elevation gain of about 235 m.

Four checkpoints are positioned at roughly 10 km intervals. Checkpoints provide water, cola and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops are accepted and can be placed at the third and fourth checkpoints. A GPX file of the course will be provided one week before the event. Chip timing and free live tracking are available for competitors.

Included for finishers are a medal, event mementoes, free downloadable race photos, prizes, toilets and medical backup. Event services listed include massage before and after the event, fully signed course, aid stations and an onsite bar at the sports club close to the finish.

Mandatory kit listed for participants comprises a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml fluid container.
