Beat The Sunset 50km - May 30th 2026, Maidenhead

The Beat The Sunset 50km is a 50 kilometre multi terrain ultra marathon in the Thames Valley, held as a single lap course based at Summerleaze Park, Maidenhead SL6 8SP. The route is largely flat, with about 235 m of elevation and roughly 75% off road surface.

The course follows the Thames Path, the Jubilee River and the Green Way. A provisional course map is available and a GPX file will be provided in the week before the race. The course is fully signed.

Support on course includes four checkpoints at approximately 10 km intervals. Aid stations stock cola & water and sweet & savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops can be delivered to the third and fourth checkpoints. Chip timing and free live tracking are provided. Free downloadable race photos, a medal and race mementoes are included for participants. Additional event services include massage pre and post event, medical backup, toilets and prizes.

Entries are open at the listed fee of £63 to £65 and close on May 24 unless capacity is reached earlier. Mandatory kit requirements include a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml vessel for fluids.
