Beat The Sunset 50km

The Beat The Sunset 50km is a multi terrain ultramarathon held in the Thames Valley with venue at Summerleaze Park in Maidenhead, SL6 8SP. The event is run over a single lap 50 km course with about 235 m of elevation and a race cut off of 9 hours 12 minutes. The route is largely off road and follows the Thames Path, Jubilee River and the Green Way.

The course is fully signed and mostly flat. There are four aid stations placed at roughly 10 km intervals supplying water, cola and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks. Chip timing and free live tracking are provided. A GPX file of the course will be made available one week before the race.

Entries are priced between £63 and £65 and close on May 26 unless capacity is reached earlier. Participants receive a medal, race mementoes and free downloadable photos. Additional services on the day include pre and post event massage and medical backup.

Mandatory kit includes a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml vessel for fluids. Recommended kit includes a waterproof or showerproof jacket, a cup and a method of payment.
