Race in the Clouds takes place June 25 to 27, 2027 in Alma, Colorado, centered at the Alma Cemetery Meadow at about 10,600 feet elevation. The festival includes mountain bike races, trail running, an off road duathlon, kids bike and run races, and weekend camping.
The courses mix single-track, forest service roads, and graded county roads. Each loop includes two big climbs, fast descents, and classic high-country terrain.

- 38 Miles mountain bike
- 26 Miles mountain bike
- 13 Miles mountain bike
- 13.1 Miles trail half marathon
- 6.2 Miles trail 10K
- 22 Miles off road duathlon
- 13 Miles high school long course
- 6.1 Miles high school short course
- Free kids bike and run races for ages 12 and under
Weekend camping is offered at the start meadow. Athletes receive a 50% discount on camping with race entry. Camping opens Thursday morning and early arrival is permitted with a camping pass. Participants should bring their own water and camping essentials. Porta potties will be available in the meadow.
Awards include overall top men, women, and non-binary in each format, plus age group awards for U23, 24-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. High school and middle school divisions are separated by age groups 11 to 14 and 15 to 18.
