Course and facilities

Courses mix single-track, forest service roads, and graded county roads. Each loop includes two significant climbs and downhill sections on high-country terrain. The start/finish meadow is about half a mile from downtown Alma and supports dispersed camping with porta-potties and trash containers. Camping is available on site and a discounted camping rate is offered to athletes with race entry. Participants are asked to bring their own water and camping supplies.

Categories, awards and other notes

Overall awards are given for top Men, Women and Non-Binary finishers. Age-group awards cover U23, 24-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Separate divisions are listed for middle school (ages 11-14) and high school (ages 15-18). Volunteers are eligible for free event entry or free camping. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted.
