Silver Rush 50

Event overview

The Life Time Silver Rush 50 Run is scheduled for July 2026 with registration opening 1/9/26. The event weekend includes multiple distances:

• ~50 miles (out-and-back)
• 15 miles
• 5K Juniors

Minimum ages and entry fees are listed: the 50-mile run and Silver King/Queen entries require age 16+ on race day. Published entry fees include $160 for the Silver Rush 50 Run, $70 for the 15-mile run, $25 for the 5K Juniors, and $300 for the Silver King & Silver Queen combined challenge.

Course, aid stations and logistics

The approximate 50-mile out-and-back course runs through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. It is primarily on dirt roads and begins at the Cloud City Ski Hut below Colorado Mountain College on Highway 24. Course markings for the 50-mile distance use pink flags. The course profile lists about 7,503 feet of elevation gain and a highest point near 12,024 feet; a mapped distance of 48.4 miles is also provided.

There are seven aid stations with specified mile locations and a variety of supplies, including water, energy gels and hydration mixes, bars and assorted foods. Drop bags for the 50-mile race are accepted only at the Stumptown aid station (halfway). Crews are allowed only at the Start/Finish area, Printer Boy aid station, and Stumptown aid station. Parking is required at designated lots with shuttle service to the start/finish area.

Awards and LT100 qualification

All finishers receive a medal. Awards cover overall, age-group, non-binary, para, and junior categories for each distance. The Silver Rush 50 Run is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run; a minimum of 35 qualifier coins are distributed by performance and by lottery.
