Silver Rush 50 Run
The Silver Rush 50 Run is a high altitude trail event in Leadville taking place on July 11, 2026. The program includes multiple distances and a combined two day challenge called Silver King and Silver Queen.

The main course is an out and back through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. The route is primarily on dirt roads originally used by miners and burros and begins near Cloud City Ski Hut below Colorado Mountain College on Highway 24. Roads remain open to vehicle traffic. The 50 mile course uses pink flag markings, reaches a highest point of 12,024 feet, and lists 7,503 feet of elevation gain. Total course cutoff is 14 hours.
There are seven aid stations located at specific mile points along the outbound and inbound legs. Aid stations provide water, Neversecond energy products, Skratch Labs hydration and a selection of bars, chews and snacks. Drop bags for the 50 Run are allowed only to the Stumptown aid station and must follow the event guidelines. Crew access is limited to the Start/Finish area, Printer Boy aid station, and Stumptown aid station. All finishers receive a medal. The event serves as a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run and a minimum of 35 qualifier coins will be awarded to eligible finishers.
