Silver Rush 50 Run - Leadville Race Series

The Silver Rush 50 Run is a high-altitude trail event held in Leadville, Colorado on July 11, 2026. The primary course is an approximately 50-mile out-and-back that travels through the historic mining district on Leadville’s east side. The route is primarily on dirt roads originally set by miners and burros, begins at the Cloud City Ski Hut area, and passes by multiple historic gold and silver mine sites. Roads used remain open to vehicle traffic.

Course statistics and logistics include a measured distance of about 48.4 miles, 7,503 feet of elevation gain, and a highest point near 12,024 feet. The total course cutoff is 14 hours; runners who miss aid station cutoffs will not be allowed to continue. The 50-mile course is marked with pink flags.

There are seven aid stations stocked with water, Neversecond gels and high-carbohydrate drink mix, Skratch Labs hydration products, bars and chews, and assorted foods such as bananas, pretzels, and soda. Drop bags are accepted for the 50-mile race and are transported only to the Stumptown aid station; bags are returned to the start/finish and must be claimed that evening.

Event logistics note required parking at off-site lots with shuttle service to the start/finish, specified crew access points on course, and award categories for overall, age groups, para divisions, and non-binary athletes. The Silver Rush 50 Run serves as a qualifier for the LT100 Run and offers a minimum of 35 qualifier coins distributed by performance and lottery; coin recipients must be present at the awards to claim their entry.
