London - Blackheath Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is the Pretty Muddy 5k at Blackheath Common on Sunday 28 June 2026, organised by Cancer Research UK. The start and finish are on grass next to Prince Charles Road. The course is mainly on grass, winds up and down the heath and is described as relatively flat; it crosses some roads that are closed for safety.

The event is an obstacle course featuring climbing, crawling and sliding elements. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Marshals are present to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed. The minimum age to take part is 13; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children.

Facilities listed for the event include toilets and refreshments. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available. Accessibility measures include sunflower wristbands available at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers trained as Dementia Friends, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.

Travel and parking notes indicate there is no designated parking at the heath and many nearby parking bays will be suspended; blue badge parking is available in local car parks. The nearest train station is Blackheath, about a 10 minute walk. Bus services stop on Prince Charles Road or Prince of Wales Road, and bike racks are on Tranquil Vale.

Participants are listed as receiving a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community access and a Race for Life medal.
