Solstice at the Lakes 2026

Solstice at the Lakes is a timed trail running event on 20 to 21 June 2026 at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Kent. Race formats include solo options for 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours, plus a 24 hour Pair Relay and Team Relay (teams up to 4 people). Entry fees range from £42 to £300.

The course is a fully marked 2.5 km loop around Leybourne Lakes. The route is described as flat and fast with a mix of maintained trail, gravel and tarmac. Results are measured by the number of full laps completed before a runner's chosen race time ends; the last lap completed before the official end time counts toward the final distance.

A central race village provides food and drink, toilets, changing areas, rest zones, and seating for runners and support crew. Official race timing with live lap updates is provided, and a medical team is on site throughout the event. All runners who complete at least one lap receive a medal; awards are given to the furthest distance in each category.

Practical notes and rules include a minimum age of 20 years on race day, visible bibs, on-foot completion only, crew only in designated support areas, cupless event policy, and a requirement for a headtorch for overnight participants. The event holds a permit from the Trail Running Association, permit number 8294. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
