Cheshire - Tatton Park Pretty Muddy 5k

This event is a Pretty Muddy 5 km obstacle course held at Tatton Park. The route runs over a mixture of grass and gravel and takes in highlights across the park estate. Ground conditions are generally uneven throughout the year. Obstacles include sections that require participants to climb, crawl and slide.

Participants must be at least 13 years old. Pretty Muddy start times are arranged in staggered waves every 15 minutes. The meeting point is on the showground next to the adventure playground; the Rostherne Gate and Mere Gate entrances are used for arrival and drop-offs. Blue badge parking is available via Mere Gate and is approximately 100 m on a gravel track to the event site. General event parking is available at the venue free of charge. There are no electric charging points, no bus services to the event, and no cycle parking.

Available facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. Accessibility provisions include sunflower wristbands, Event Managers trained as Dementia Friends, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.

Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal. A course map is provided and may be subject to change. A 9.7 km fell race on 14 June 2026 near Norden, Rochdale, climbing 396 m. Registration is at Norden Bowling Club with both pre-entry and on-the-day entry and team scoring for the first three finishers.
