Cheshire - Tatton Park Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Tatton Park on Saturday 27 June 2026. The course runs over a mixture of grass and gravel and takes in parts of Tatton Park's estate; ground conditions are generally uneven.

Participants tackle a series of obstacles that involve climbing, crawling and sliding. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes; groups should register for the same wave. Marshals are on duty to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed. To take part, individuals must be 13 years of age or older.

The start and finish are on the showground next to the adventure playground. Entrances for the event site are via Rostherne Gate or Mere Gate. Event parking is available at the venue free of charge; blue badge parking is available via Mere Gate and is about 100 m on a gravel track from the event site. There are no electric charging points, no bus service, and no cycle parking provided.

Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for pushchairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. Accessibility provisions include sunflower wristbands at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers trained as Dementia Friends, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.

Entry fees and fundraising: adult entry listed as £22.49, child entry £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. A hilly five mile trail and fell race from Rainow on the edge of the Peak District, taking in White Nancy and the Kerridge ridge. The event is pre-entry only, serves teas and cakes after the race, and donates proceeds to local charities.

A summer evening charity run at Marbury Park with a 5k adult race and 1k kids' fun run, plus BBQ, bar, cake stall and music. Proceeds go to The Stroke Association and all finishers receive a medal.

Three circular challenge routes of 26.2, 23 and 18 miles around the Colne Valley near Marsden. Entries are by SIEntries with a 150 person limit and include checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal.

A self-navigated trail event around Delph, Saddleworth covering about 19 miles with 3000 ft of ascent. The unmarked course visits five trig points, has three manned checkpoints, and requires full kit and a minimum age of 18.
