Distances

  • Marathon (full distance)

The route is self navigation. Participants are expected to download the route to a GPS device or print the supplied map and follow the course as provided. The South West Coastal Path is waymarked with Acorn fingerpost signs for much of the route. Organisers advise following the downloaded route and note that deviating from the route or taking shortcuts may lead to disqualification. Feed stations around the island include check in points to confirm completion of the course.

There is a mandatory kit requirement that must be carried during the race. Examples of required items include a drink container of 500 ml or greater, windproof jacket, emergency nutrition, head covering, a charged mobile phone in a waterproof bag, a foil blanket or full sized bin liner, a whistle and a small first aid kit. Kit checks may occur before the start and randomly during the race; missing kit can prevent starting or lead to disqualification.

The event is held under UK Athletics rules. Entrants receive a bespoke finishers medal, trophies for top finishers, refreshments at checkpoints and the finish, printed route maps, chip timing, free professional photos and a buff. A technical running t shirt is available to purchase during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
