Belmont, United States • 7 Mar 2026

Event overview

Perennial is a time-based endurance run held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden / Conservancy in Belmont, North Carolina. The event offers three time categories: 3 hour, 6 hour, and 10 hour. Participants run repeated laps on a roughly 5Kish loop that is about 95% trails and crushed gravel, with the start/finish and an aid station at Race HQ. The venue includes waterfront trails and grounds along Lake Wylie.

Distances and ranking

  • 4 laps - Half marathon-ish
  • 8 laps - Marathon-ish
  • 12 laps - 40ish miles
  • 16 laps - 50ish miles

Participants are ranked by the number of laps completed within their chosen time category, then by time. Any distance covered after a category’s time ends does not count.

Logistics, entries and support

Registration is limited to the first 150 entrants (approximately 50 per time category). Registration fees vary by tier. Event registration includes discounted entry to the garden, a custom Perennial bib, and a custom shirt (locally made from 100% recycled materials) if registered by the shirt deadline. The event is cup free and safety pin free; participants are required to be self-sufficient for personal gear and nutrition. Race HQ provides water, Tailwind, basic snacks, and an aid station. Additional donations during registration support Daniel Stowe Conservancy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
