Perennial is a time-based endurance run held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Daniel Stowe Conservancy / Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, 6500 South New Hope Rd., Belmont, NC 28012. The event offers timed categories and a lap-based format:

  • 10 Hour
  • 6 Hour
  • 3 Hour

The event is limited to the first 150 registrants (50 per time category). Registration includes a custom souvenir bib and a custom shirt (guaranteed to those who register by the shirt deadline). Rankings are based on total laps completed, then by time.

Course, logistics and support

The course is a roughly 5K loop that is about 95% trails and crushed gravel and starts and finishes at the Race HQ and aid station. Aid at Race HQ includes water, Tailwind, soda, basic snacks (pretzels, chips, candy, PB&Js), and space for drop bags. Bathrooms are nearby but not inside Race HQ.

Participants are required to be self-sufficient for nutrition and gear. The event is cup-free (bring your own container) and safety pin free. The event beneficiary is Daniel Stowe Conservancy; additional registration donations support the conservancy. The organizer also collects used shirts, sneakers, and medals for recycling or repurposing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
