Perennial: a Time Based Endurance Run

Belmont, United States • 7 Mar 2026

Event overview

Perennial is a time-based endurance running event held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Daniel Stowe Conservancy / Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, NC. The event offers three time categories: 3 hour, 6 hour, and 10 hour. Registration is limited to the first 150 participants, with 50 spots allocated per time category.

Format, course and logistics

Participants run repeated laps on a roughly 5K-ish loop that starts and finishes at Race HQ. The loop is about 95% trails and crushed gravel and follows waterfront trails on the conservancy grounds. Runners complete as many laps as they can within their chosen time category; rankings are by laps completed and then by time. Any distance covered after the time limit does not count.

Participants must be self-sufficient for the day. Race HQ includes an aid station at the lap start/finish with water, Tailwind, soda, basic snacks, and space for drop bags. Bathrooms are nearby but not inside Race HQ. The event is cup-free and safety-pin-free.

Distances and prizes

  • 4 laps - Half Marathon-ish
  • 8 laps - Marathon-ish
  • 12 laps - 40ish miles
  • 16 laps - 50ish miles
