Pemberton Trail

Fort McDowell, United States • 24 Jan 2026

Event details

The Pemberton Trail races take place on January 24, 2026, at McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. The event offers trail races at these distances:

  • 50K
  • 25K

The 50K has an 8-hour time limit. Awards are given for overall, masters, and super masters categories. Registration deadlines and shirt guarantee dates are set in advance.

Course and series

Both races are run entirely on trails with gently rolling hills and desert scenery inside the regional park. A course record for the men's 50K was set in 2020 at 2:49:03; the previous record from 2007 was 3:11:55. The event is race number 1 in the McDowell Mountain Cup series; participation in later series races (a 14K in February and a 20K or 10K in March) makes runners eligible for series prizes, but series participation is not required. Volunteers support the event and awards are provided for top finishers in the listed categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
