Peak Raid Great Longstone

Peak Raid Great Longstone is a score fell race around Longstone Edge starting from The Crispin Inn in Great Longstone. The event supports Buxton Mountain Rescue Team and uses SI timing. Competition maps are handed out at the start.

Competitors choose their own route and visit controls to collect points within the event time limit. The format awards points for controls visited and penalises lateness. Entrants may compete solo or as a pair. Entries open 8 February 2026 and close 28 May 2026. Entry fees are listed as £15.00 with an increase later in May and a £2 reduction for FRA members.

There are 15 categories in total: ten solo or pairs categories split across men and women age groups, five mixed pair categories, and a parent or guardian with under 18 category. The minimum age is 14 and age categories are determined by age on 31/12/2026. For pairs, the category is based on the age of the oldest competitor. If one runner is under 18 the other must be over 21 and must be the parent or guardian or an accompanying adult appointed by the parent or guardian.

The FRA mandatory minimum kit required includes a waterproof full body cover with taped seams and an attached hood, hat, gloves, map of the route provided by the organiser, compass, whistle and emergency food. Weather conditions may allow the race organiser to relax kit requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
