Course and race details
The course is a looped route of at least 10 miles that runs along rolling grass trails with some sandy sections. Aid stations are placed every 2-3 miles. The event uses a 36-hour cutoff and race timing is provided by Trailhead Ultras.
Awards, services and community contributions
Awards are given to male and female finishers 1st through 5th overall, then the next finisher over 40 (Masters), over 50 (Grandmasters), and over 60 (Senior Grandmaster). Awards are also planned for the oldest male and female finisher. All 100 mile finishers receive a buckle. Entrants were to receive a long sleeve shirt, race socks, and stickers. Food at aid stations includes hot grilled items (bacon, smoked brisket, chicken, quesadillas, griddle cakes) and standard ultra fare (snack bars, pickles and pickle juice, soda, bananas). Ten dollars from each registration fee is designated for Polk County Parks and Recreation. ROCYCLE was listed to collect small electronics on site; NO LARGE APPLIANCES.
