Pass Mountain Trail Runs - Mesa, AZ

Pass Mountain Trail Runs takes place at Usery Mountain Regional Park and the nearby Tonto National Forest on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The event offers multiple distance options over natural desert and mountain trails that include single track, OHV routes, sandy wash sections, and exposed rocky climbs.

The courses pass through cholla forests and portions of the Goldfield Mountains, link with the Maricopa Trail, and include sections on the Hawes Trail System and the Pass Mountain Trail. Aid stations are located approximately every 3.0 to 8.6 miles and provide water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. The event operates as a cupless race; runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site.

Crew, pacer, and drop bag rules vary by distance. Crews have access at specified locations; pacers are permitted only for the 50 mile race beginning at designated aid stations, with one pacer allowed at a time. Remote drop bags for the 50 mile are provided at Usery Aid and are visited twice. Cutoffs for the 50 mile include reaching mile 27.4 in 8.5 hours, mile 43.7 in 13 hours, and a 16-hour overall limit.

On-site services include medical support and post-race recovery options. A park entry fee applies per vehicle and some parking may require shuttles or overflow parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
