Course details

Courses use trails within Usery Mountain Regional Park and nearby public lands including sections of the Goldfield Mountains and Tonto National Forest. Terrain includes single track, OHV trail, sandy washes, exposed rocky sections, and climbs to Pass Mountain. Aid stations are located approximately every 3.0 to 8.6 miles and provide water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. The event is cupless; participants must carry a reusable cup or purchase one on site.

Pacers are permitted only in the 50 Mile event, beginning at specified aid stations. Crews and drop bags are allowed at designated start/finish locations; the 50 Mile has additional remote drop bag access at Usery Aid.

Logistics and safety

Time limits are published for each distance, with the 50 Mile time limit at 16 hours. The park charges a vehicle entry fee of $7. MedStar Solutions medical staff are based at the start/finish for first aid. Course junctions are marked with ribbon, reflective medallions, laminated signs, and flagging; runners are responsible for knowing the course.
