Pass Mountain Trail Runs

Pass Mountain Trail Runs takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event uses the park Trailhead Staging Area at 3939 N Usery Pass Rd and includes multiple trail distances on routes that pass through the Goldfield Mountains and Tonto National Forest with views of Pass Mountain and the Superstition Wilderness.

Distances offered:

  • 50 Mile
  • 50K (31.2 miles)
  • 25K (15.6 miles)
  • 10K (6.2 miles)
  • 5K (3.5 miles)

Courses feature single track, OHV trail sections, sandy wash crossings, and exposed rocky climbs. Aid stations are stocked every 3.0 to 8.6 miles with water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; this is a cupless race so runners should bring a reusable cup. The 50 mile course includes remote drop bag locations at Usery Aid, allows one pacer per runner beginning at specified aid stations, and enforces cutoff times for intermediate checkpoints and the overall finish.

Logistics note that park entry now requires a $10 fee per vehicle as of 1/1/26, and some entrants will use shuttle parking or overflow lots. Medical staff will be on site for first aid, and Athletico will provide post-race stretching and massage services. Race features include gender specific shirts, chip timing, post-race food, and a charity beer garden. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
