Pass Mountain Trail Runs : Usery Mountain Regional Park, Mesa AZ

Pass Mountain Trail Runs is a multi-distance trail running event held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, Arizona. The event uses trails in Usery Mountain Park, the edge of the Goldfield Mountain Range, and sections of Tonto National Forest and the Hawes Trail System.

  • 50K
  • 25K
  • 10K
  • 5K

Course routes include singletrack, OHV trails, sandy wash crossings, and climbs to Pass Mountain Saddle. Several distances traverse Cholla Forests, the Levee Trail, and offer views of Pass Mountain and the Superstition Wilderness Area. Elevation and time limits vary by distance; the 50 Mile route lists substantial elevation gain and a 16 hour overall cutoff.

Logistics and support are specified for each distance. Aid stations are placed approximately every 3.0 to 8.6 miles and provide water, electrolyte drink, snacks, and fruit. The event is cupless so participants must bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site. Crew and pacer access, drop bag locations, and cutoff points differ by distance; pacers are allowed only for the 50 Mile at designated aid stations. Remote drop bags are available for the 50 Mile at Usery Aid.

Additional information includes a park entry fee of $10 per vehicle (effective 1/1/26), shuttle arrangements for some parking areas, on-site medical staff, and post-race therapy services. Courses are marked with orange ribbons, reflective medallions, laminated signs, and checkerboard flagging to indicate wrong-way trails.
